Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website https://bssaj.org and the related services operated by the Bangladeshi Students’ Support Association in Japan ("BSSAJ", "we", "us" or "our").

By visiting the website, creating an account, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

BSSAJ is a non-profit association supporting Bangladeshi students in Japan. Through this website we provide, among other things:

• Public information: news, blog posts, events, guides, scholarships and a helpdesk.
• Membership services for individuals and member agencies, including public member and agency profiles.
• Event and mock-exam registration, entry passes and certificates.
• A jobs board connecting students with recruiting companies, and a Japanese resume (履歴書) builder.
• Verification tools for member agencies and issued certificates, and a scam-report form.

Some services require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information when registering and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

Accounts, memberships, agency profiles, company profiles and submitted content may be subject to review and approval by BSSAJ administrators before they become active or publicly visible. We may decline or revoke approval at our reasonable discretion.

Membership types, benefits, eligibility and any applicable fees are described on the relevant pages of the website and may change over time.

Agency and company profiles are provided by the organizations themselves. Badges such as "verified" reflect checks performed by BSSAJ at a point in time; they are provided for information only and are not a guarantee, endorsement, or assurance of any organization’s current conduct, licensing or services. Always exercise your own judgment before entering into any agreement with a listed organization.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (for example blog posts, profile information, images, comments, consultation requests and scam reports). By submitting content you grant BSSAJ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt and display it for the purpose of operating and promoting our services, including on our official social media pages.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share. We may edit, decline or remove content at our discretion, including content that breaches these Terms.

Registration details, capacity, schedules and venues for events and mock exams may change; we will make reasonable efforts to notify registrants of material changes using the contact details you provide.

Entry passes, admit cards and certificates remain the property of BSSAJ, are personal to the named holder and must not be altered, resold or transferred.

Job postings are provided by recruiting companies. BSSAJ does not guarantee any job's availability, terms or outcome, is not a party to any employment relationship, and does not charge candidates for applying.

The resume builder is provided as a convenience. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your resume and for whom you choose to share it with.

Where a service carries a fee (for example agency subscriptions or paid registrations), the amount, currency and payment method are stated at the point of purchase or invoice. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable.

When using our services you must not:

• Break any applicable law or infringe the rights of others.
• Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems or data, or interfere with the operation or security of the services.
• Scrape, harvest or misuse personal information of other users.
• Upload malicious code or use the services to send spam or fraudulent communications.

The BSSAJ name, logo, website design and all content we create are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution; any other reproduction or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep information accurate and the services running smoothly, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BSSAJ and its officers, members and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the services, or from your dealings with any organization or person you find through the services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

The website contains links to third-party websites and services (for example government resources, partner organizations and social media). We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

We may suspend or terminate access to the services, or remove content, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where required by law, or to protect the services or other users. You may stop using the services and request deletion of your account at any time as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with its “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced on the website. Your continued use of the services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
